I’ll reblog this every time it comes up in my dash : )

Things I’ve learned (and you should too)

I’ve learned…

* to never feel safe, because there’s always someone who’s able to turn my world upside down with just a smile.
* that life is so unpredictable that there’s no way you can know it all, so you just have to go with the flow and learn lessons on the way.
* that everything makes sense, even when you don’t want it to.
* that you can never argue with fate, because you’ll lose.
* that it’s possible to love someone beyond all comprehension, and even love them more than yourself.
* that even the people you trust the most can disappoint you, but it’s not their fault, it’s just who they are.
* to understand that some things have to happen in your life, to make room for new experiences.
* that life isn’t black and white, and that it’s the never-ending gamma of gray tones that make life interesting.
* that the friends you once thought would always be there, aren’t, because the paths you chose are too different, and that it’s ok to part ways with them.
* to trust myself more than others, because without “me” there can’t be someone else.
* to feel ok about myself, and not be ashamed of who I am, or try to change for someone.
* that someone else’s happiness shouldn’t come before your own.
* that sharing your happiness, love and time with others in need is the greatest gift you could ever give.
* that life doesn’t revolve around me.
* that I make a difference in this world, even if it’s tiny.
* to be loved.
* to love.
* to be thankful and appreciative.
* to be more patient, and not to expect so much from others, and from myself.
* that you can find very good friends in the most unusual situations and places.

and I hope I keep learning much much more….
